KUTE is run by a National Board — a small, selective group that oversees everything across the organization: launching and supporting local chapters, managing donations and funding, and setting the direction for our programs. Board seats are by application and are highly competitive.
Throughout the year, the Board organizes 1–5 major domestic and international KUTE events — large-scale educational resource and book donation drives — where local volunteers do the hands-on work of assembling, packing, and distributing kits.
There are three ways to get involved:
Serving on KUTE's National Board is a real leadership commitment, not just a title. Board members help guide chapters, oversee funding, and plan our kit drives throughout the year — typically involving a few hours a month for regular check-ins, plus extra time around major events. We're looking for people who can commit for at least a full term and show up consistently, not just when it's convenient. If you're ready for that level of involvement, we'd love to hear from you.
